WaTech Computer Services, Inc., and its affiliates (collectively, “WaTech” and “we”) respect your privacy and handle your personal data in accordance with the applicable data protection-legislation. The “products” include the software and hardware we sell, re-sell, or license to our clients.

5. How do we protect your personal data?

The security of your personal data is of great importance to us. We have taken proper technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access either within us or externally, and from being lost, misused, altered or destroyed arbitrarily. For example, we use access control mechanisms to permit only authorized access to your personal data, cryptographic technologies for personal data confidentiality, and protection mechanisms to prevent system attacks.
Persons who have access to your personal data on our behalf have a duty of confidentiality, inter alia, on the basis of the rules of conduct and rules of professional practice applicable to them.

In respect of the retention periods of your personal data, we are committed to keep it no longer than is necessary for achieving the purposes stated in this policy or for complying with applicable data protection legislation. And we endeavor to ensure that irrelevant or excessive data are deleted or anonymized as soon as reasonably practicable.

WaTech does not trade, rent, or sell your personal data. We might share your information with our business partners, service vendors, authorized third-party agents and contractors (collectively, “third parties” hereinafter), your organization’s account administrators, and/or our affiliates for any of the purposes stated in this policy.

Because we do our business globally, your personal data might be transferred to third parties in other countries, and held and processed on our behalf for the abovementioned purposes.

Third parties to whom we provide your personal data may themselves be responsible for complying with data protection legislation. WaTech is neither responsible nor liable for the processing of your personal data by these third parties. To the extent that a third party processes your personal data as a processor of Watech and therefore acts at the request and on the instructions of us, we conclude a data-processing agreement with such third party which meets the requirements set out in data-protection legislation.

7. How can you control your personal data?
You have the right to control your personal data in several ways:

  • You have the right to request that we inform you of any of your personal data that we hold.

  • You have the right to request that we correct, supplement, delete or block your personal data if it is incorrect or incomplete or is being processed in contravention of any statutory provision. If you choose to delete your personal data, you should be aware that we may retain some of your personal data to the extent required to prevent fraud and abuse, and/or to comply with legal requirements as permitted by law.

  • You have the right to unsubscribe from emails and messages from us at any time and at no cost if you no longer wish to receive them.

  • You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data. We will discontinue the processing if it is required by law to do so. We will continue with the processing if there are justified imperative grounds to do so that outweigh your interests, rights, or freedoms or that are related to bringing, exercising or substantiating a legal action.

We will contact you if we require any additional information from you and we will notify you in writing of the outcome of the investigation.

9. Personal data about children

Our products and services are not directed toward children under age 13, nor do we knowingly collect personal data from children without the consent of the parent(s)/guardian(s). If you find that your child has provided us with personal data without your permission, you may alert us at info@watech.com. If you alert us or we find that we have collected any personal data from children under age 13, we will delete such data as soon as possible.

10. Changes to this Policy

This policy may be revised from time to time in order to comply with current laws or for other reasonable reasons. Should this policy be revised, WaTech will post the changes on our website and the new policy will be effective immediately upon posting. If we make any material changes that will diminish your rights under this policy, we will notify you by email or by other applicable means prior to the changes becoming effective. We encourage you to periodically review this policy for the latest information.

Our carefully selected partners and service providers may process personal information about you on our behalf as described below:

We periodically appoint digital marketing agents to conduct marketing activity on our behalf, such activity may result in the compliant processing of personal information. Our appointed data processors include:

Collecting and Using Your Personal Data

 

TYPES OF DATA COLLECTED AND DEVICE PERMISSIONS

 

Among the types of Personal Data that WaTech VoIP collects, by itself or through third parties, there are: Usage Data; Contacts permission; Camera permission; Precise location permission (non-continuous); Microphone permission; Phone permission; Storage permission; geographic position; Data communicated while using the service; app information; device logs; device information.

 

Personal Data may be freely provided by the User, or, in the case of Usage Data, collected automatically when using WaTech VoIP app.

 

Unless specified otherwise, all Data requested by WaTech VoIP app is mandatory and failure to provide this Data may make it impossible for WaTech VoIPto provide its services. Users who are uncertain about which Personal Data is mandatory are welcome to contact us at any time.

 

Depending on the User’s specific device, WaTech VoIP may request certain permissions that allow it to access the User’s device Data as described below.

 

Camera permission

Used for accessing the camera or capturing images and video from the device.

 

Contacts permission

Used for accessing contacts and profiles on the User’s device, including the changing of entries.

 

Microphone permission

Used for accessing and recording microphone audio from the User’s device.

 

Phone permission

Used for accessing a host of typical features associated with telephony. This enables, for instance, read-only access to the “phone state”, which means it enables access to the phone number of the device, current mobile network information, or the status of any ongoing calls.

 

Precise location permission (non-continuous)

Used for accessing the User’s precise device location to allow users to share their location with other users.

The geographic location of the User is determined in a manner that isn’t continuous. This means that it is impossible for WaTech VoIP to derive the exact position of the User on a continuous basis.

 

Storage permission

Used for accessing shared external storage, including the reading and adding of any items.




THE PURPOSE OF PROCESSING

 

The Data concerning the User is collected to allow the WaTech VoIP to provide its Service, comply with its legal obligations, respond to enforcement requests, protect its rights and interests (or those of its Users or third parties), detect any malicious or fraudulent activity, as well as the following: Device permissions for Personal Data access, Hosting and backend infrastructure, Infrastructure monitoring, Location-based interactions, Contacting the User, Registration and authentication and Managing contacts and sending messages.

 

SHARING AND DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES

 

Any personal information that we collect (as identified in the “Personal Data We Collect” section) may be shared  with business partners, contractors, vendors, and authorized third-party agents either with Your consent or for business or legal purposes and in accordance with applicable law to:

 

– Conduct analytics in order to improve the user experience of our Apps and Services;

 

– Provide support and technical services;

 

– Operate, deliver, improve and customise our Apps, and Services.

 

RETENTION TIME 

 

We process Personal Data and store it for as long as required to fulfil for which the information was originally collected.

 

Therefore Personal Data that was collected for purposes related to the performance of a contract between the WaTech VoIP and the User shall be retained until such contract has been fully performed.

 

We may retain Personal Data for a longer period whenever required to do so for the performance of a legal obligation or upon order of an authority.

 

Once the retention period expires, Personal Data will be deleted or anonymized.
